This consummate makeup artist to the stars lists among his credits more than 50 movies, television shows, music videos and commercials, including Verizon's "Can You Hear Me Now" campaign, three Spike Lee movies, "The Cosby Show" and "Sister, Sister."

His makeup artistry also appears regularly in Essence, Vogue, Bazaar, Vibe, and Rolling Stone magazines. As if that isn't enough work for the man, Interface Cosmetics crowned him "The King of Clean Makeup" when he served as their creative director. Long also is the artist behind the new deep hues for women of color, now featured by Avon.

He's been on the road with Brandy and on a bus with Aretha Franklin, but more important, he's been on his feet with Humanitarian Efforts when it mattered and received a "Man of Vision Award" from NAN Women's Auxiliary. Most recently, Long has done makeup on Gayle and Oprah and traveled with Gayle on Oprah's Great Australian Adventure where he toured the country for 2 weeks from Tanzania to Sydney, Australia. If Gayle and Oprah are not enough, there's Denzel Washington, Jesse Jackson, Queen Latifah, Diane Sawyer, Kimora Lee Simmons, Dr. Oz, Rosario Dawson, and Arnold Schwarzenegger are just a few of the stars in Lanier Long's portfolio - he even touched up Dan Rather's tan for a few years.

But it's not just "stars and celebrities" who benefit from Long's expertise in makeup artistry. In yet another effort to share what he has with others who have less, "The King of Clean Makeup" is using his makeover magic to help underprivileged women gain the polished images and confidence they need to move into the marketplace as Avon sales representatives.

As Long says, " It's not what you get for yourself that matters. It's what you give back, and I want to make a lasting contribution to the world we live in."

CARLOS KOSTAL

Carlos Kostal is a creative with a wide array of skill sets. His journey started on the East Side of Cleveland Ohio in 1994 but has taken him as far as Los Angeles California.

Carlos has a special talent to swiftly grasp and understand concepts. This ability has aided him in picking up various skills in the creative and business space. Skills which include but are not limited to photography, videography, sound engineering, drawing, painting, logo design, and document creation/editing. Having these skill sets has made it easier for Carlos to improve business focused skills such as confidence in building interpersonal relationships, business etiquette, facility management, bookkeeping, and financial literacy to name a few. These skills have all put Carlos on his current path to building his own production hub. A place where all forms of creation

and media, can be produced from its initial concept to completion for the true People of the Global Majority (PGM).

This journey started back in John Hay’s school of Architecture and Design. He and a close friend worked on the concept of a manga and eventually, throughout a 5-year span, was ready to start its production. Carlos flew out to California to produce the manga and start a production company he would later call BE Studios (Black Entertainment Studios). Once Carlos arrived in California the plan for production began. Unfortunately, soon after beginning, he reached a limit as to what he could do on his own due to the world shutting down via the Corona Virus. To survive, Carlos had to pivot and began constructing a dance studio with his friends. Carlos’ skills in home repair along with his creative eye guided him and his friends in constructing a rebirthed studio called Studio216 in the heart of Northridge California. It was an instant hit for the black community in its area. It became a multipurpose facility with a strong angle on dance classes. This studio became the seed for many of Carlos’ ideas for his production company. Carlos built and managed Studio216 alongside his friends for about 2 years. After this time frame Carlos decided it was time for him to move towards the construction of his production company. With his plan in place and ideas in tow, Carlos has begun taking efforts in bringing his production hub to life.

Carlos has connections with a plethora of talented creatives that range from writing, illustrating, to music production, songwriting and performing. He is even acquainted with an artist that has made her way into California’s Def jam records. He plans on using his production hub as a creative space for all creatives of the PGM to have a place that would aid if not produce their art without damaging the beautiful message that comes with the community.
